Building on the success of the Zamp FS-8, the all new FS-9 consists of a lightweight Fiberglass Shell meeting the Snell M2020D standard. The FS-9 offers superior Fiberglass impact absorption, a feature usually only seen on helmets twice the cost.
The Snell M2020D rating
makes this helmet the perfect helmet for motorcycle and kart racing in addition to certifying it's safety a level above helmets that only carry the DOT rating. (This helmet also carries the DOT rating and works great for street use!) The Snell M2020D standard certifies a helmet for use in competitive motorcycling, however, it is accepted by most karting organizations and by some auto racing organizations. Check with your organization to ensure that a M2020D helmet is permitted!
Sizing Chart
Proper helmet fit is vital to the performance of a helmet during an impact. For the helmet to perform properly during an impact, it must stay securely on the head.
A small metal tape measure or a cloth tape may be utilized to make your initial measurement. You can also use a string, which can then be laid against a measuring tape.
Measuring the head is only a starting point for the entire sizing procedure. Due to varying shapes, heads that are apparently the same size when measured may not necessarily fit the same size helmet. Measure the head from a point half an inch above the eyebrows and around the back of the head that results in the largest possible measurement.
Take several measurements. The largest measurement is the one you want to use.
