The helmet is in mint condition and has a strong signature from Yale in blue sharpie and he added "HOF '79" denoting the year of his Hall of Fame induction. The helmet is has COA from Tristar Productions and has matching helmet sticker. Yale Lary was a former star defensive back, punter and return specialist who spent his entire career ( ) with the Detroit Lions. During his time with the Lions, the team won three NFL titles and Yale was 9 times named NFL All-Pro and went to the Pro Bowl. In his career, Yale led the NFL in Punting Average 3 times and when he retired in 1964 his 44.3 punt average was second All-Time. Yale also had 50 interceptions in his career. He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1979 and he was named to NFL 1950's All-Decade Team. Yale passed away in 2017 at the age of 86.
