WW2 Post War Italian Army M33 Steel Combat Helmet, Liner & Chinstrap

This WW2 Post War Italian Army M33 Steel Combat Helmet is in good condition overall but does show signs of age and service. The helmet is clearly stamped "B108" and this would appear to indicate production by Smalterie Venete. There are several colors of paint that can be clearly detected on this helmet, notably a "sage" green, black and a "khaki" tan that appears to be the final coat. The khaki color is commonly seen on Post War repainted shells but the green and black layers would suggest Pre-War or early WW2 era production. The interior of the helmet retains a significant amount of "original" green paint and also has a handwritten inscription in pencil, appearing to be someone's initials and the helmet number. The original leather liner is intact, marked "59" and is backed by orange felt. Two of the liner frame attachments have broken away from the retention rivets but the liner remains securely in place and is still worthy of display. The chinstraps appear to also be original and are in good, serviceable condition overall but show expected signs of age. Please examine the photographs carefully for the best description of condition.
