This WW2 Italian Army M33 Steel Combat Helmet is in good condition overall but does show signs of age and service. The helmet appears to be stamped "B10" and this would suggest early production by Smalterie Venete. Traces of the original "Sage Green" paint can be found on both exterior and interior surfaces though much has worn away and a strong patina of surface rust has developed on the exterior. There is one small split on the helmet's edge in the lower right hand portion of the rear (right shoulder area), this split can be seen in the photographs and does not appear to be "active" or a threat to the structural integrity of the shell. The interior of the helmet retains a significant amount of green paint though much has been lost to service and time. The original leather liner is securely intact, marked "59" and is backed by orange felt. The leather is mostly supple and no stiff spots or obvious dry rot can be detected. The remaining chinstrap appears to also be original and is in good, serviceable condition overall but shows expected signs of age. Please examine the photographs carefully for the best description of condition.
