Vtg 1980s HONDA GL1200 GOLDWING LIMITED EDITION JAPANESE MADE

In 1984, in promotion with the release of their new "Goldwing" series of powerful, long range touring motorcycles, Honda introduced a limited edition "Goldwing" painted and decal embellished open face motorcycle helmet. This Vintage 1980s HONDA GL1200 GOLDWING LIMITED EDITION JAPANESE MADE MOTORCYCLE HELMET is in good condition, with some deep scuffing and surface chipping at the lower back left crown and the upper middle right crown, some scattered scuffing and scratching around the rest of the exterior, heavy flaking to the leatherette portions of the chinstraps, some scattered dusting and brownish soiling around the inside, some deteriorating to the foam pad at the interior top crown, some light chipping to the lower back interior top crown padding, missing the "HONDALINE" decal from the lower middle back crown, and with some overall age wear evident (ALL pictured). Otherwise, the helmet is in fine shape, with no other damage to the tough fiberglass construction, which retains approximately 85% of the original glossy two tone gold exterior finish with black "racing" stripes piped with a third shade of gold. Most interestingly, it's a Size 7 1/8-7 1/4, made in Japan, and bears the classic "GL1200 / HONDA" gold bird decal at the front crown, "LIMITED EDITION / GOLDWING" decal at each side crown, and "DOT" decal at the lower back crown. It boasts the original, integral hard black plastic visor, black rubber edge rim, black velour lining, black leatherette and nylon chinstraps with a dual metal "D" ring closure buckle, and black styrofoam crown padding, carries all of the original association and certification tags around the inside, and is unmarked as to its maker.
