Vtg 1950s Antique Old Nokona Leather Adult Suspension Worn Used

2583 Early Nokona leather composite helmet.  Comes with a Riddell style suspension - with a leather crown piece.  The leather crown piece states that it is licensed under a Riddell patent.  Helmet is in excellent condition.  Leather jawpads are still soft.  Helmet looks to have a Riddell plastic one bar facemask installed to it.  There are indentations where the mask was installed to both sides of the helmet.  On the one side, there is an indentation with an "8" which was the datecode (1958) of the mask that was on the helmet.  Painted kelly green.  There is a minor crack near the DPE marked in the interior - shown in the photo.  Same color that Michigan State used/uses.  A rare model of helmet - from a manufacturer of helmets that rarely come into the market.
