Item: Vintage Scott Russell SHOEI X-8 Helmet: Size Large 7-3/8 – 7-1/2.Troy Lee Designs MFG: SHOEI Country of Origin: Japan DESCRIPTION: Up for sale is a SHOEI X-8, Troy Lee Designs, Scott Russell replica helmet. Size Large 7-3/8 – 7-1/2. Includes helmet bag and SHOEI manual. Snell 90 and DOT approved. Paint and liner are in beautiful condition. On the top of the helmet is what appears to be a 7/8” scratch / mark. It’s not deep, I’ve included a photo. The vinyl on the chinstrap has dried some and there is light cracking. There is also a small pin hole in the helmet bag. Again, I would guide the interested buyer to the posted photos. This helmet was originally manufactured in January 1995 per the date stamp. To be used as a display piece only. This helmet is almost 30 years old and cannot be expected to provide any level of protection to an individual wearing it. I’ve tied to provide several photos so bidders can have a good sense of the quality and condition of this item. A really nice survivor piece. This helmet has spent most of its life in a box sitting in storage outside of the light of day. It’s time someone else gets it and enjoys it! Thanks for your consideration.
