We Specialize In Chic, Unique and Quality Gifts W e have for Sale for your consideration this RARE PAIR OF VINTAGE BORGHESE GILT ROMAN GALEA HELMET BOOKENDS WITH MARBLE BASE MADE IN ITALY Description: MANUFACTURER: Borghese Type: Figural Bookends Material: Marble and Gilt Size: 7-3/4" Tall x 3-3/4" Wide x 4-1/4" Deep Circa: 1950's Condition: Very Good - Wear consistent with age and use One small chip on the corner of one bookend in the marble base as shown in the photos Wonderful pair of vintage 1950's Hollywood Regency Italian Gilt Roman Galea Helmet with marble base bookends.   Excellent details and in excellent condition. These have to be one of my all time favorite sets of bookends.    The bookends date to around the 1960's or older.  They are very detailed and have a true elegant quality.  The bookends are stamped on the bottom of the base "Borghese". These are very impressive bookends that have a lot of impact, they are high quality and would be lovely supporting books.
