The African Safari Pith Helmet is made from the core (pith) of trees that grow in northern Vietnam. They are handmade one piece at a time. This helmet, like all other pith helmets we carrry, is incredible lightweight as the 4-ply wood interior has a low density (similar to balsa wood). This and our other pith helmets can be immersed in water to keep the wearer cool during hot weather. (Please submerge the outside of the helmet carefully, without allowing water to spill into the interior of the helmet)
Featuring a dark khaki cotton twill with a stylish creme pleated hat band, the African Safari Pith Helmet is ready for adventure! Please Note : Pith helmets can be immersed in water, whereby the wearer stays cool during use on hot summer days. Please submerge the outside of the helmet carefully, without allowing water to spill into the interior of the helmet.
