Valentino Rossi Signed AGV Ti-Tech Helmet [VR46 Design, Full

Genuine race-replica AGV Ti-Tech helmet. Signed by Vale and presented to me by the man himself at a special event at the five-star Baglioni Hotel in London, 2008.
Lucky me used to work in racing (MotoGP, WSB, BSB, AMA etc.) and people know me, so it is easy to verify any queries you may have as to authenticity. However, in the meantime, I trust that the photograph included in this listing, which features, Dr. Rossi and me at the AGV junket (guess which one of us is happiest to be there 😅).
The helmet was a gift from AGV and comes in the original box, as well as a 100% "unobtainium" limited edition, Hein Gericke/AGV luxury helmet bag (not shown in pictures right now, but will add shortly).
The helmet does not come with any of the silly authentication papers, which are really just a racket, nor the stupid price tag that goes with them. This was a small token of appreciation for what my company had done for AGV and Valentino. I think that makes it more valuable than the “Mickey Mouse” certificates that accompany most overpriced items.
The only reason this is not going for two- or $3,000, like most all the others, is that - while receiving this was a great honor - I got a lot of cool shit through my job, so I didn’t treat this helmet like it was a delicate work of art. It just sat on my living room windowsill. I’d let people try it on but it was never used while actually riding a motorcycle. So it is still perfectly clean and chip-free.
It is also 100% structurally sound. It is just slightly faded on one side from extended exposure to sunlight. Most people would not notice the slight toning down of the colors that this resulted in. However, for the sake of good order, I just wanted to point out that one side is slightly less vibrant than the other. But this does not detract from the overall impression and generally great condition for a helmet that has not been stored in a glass case in a museum, but instead has been enjoyed.
At some point, one of the two small plastic switches which govern the airflow into the helmet via upper the front vent came off. This is easily fixed if you feel the need as well as not immediately noticeable and entirely irrelevant for a helmet that is unlikely to be used in the way it was intended. That said, at this price it’s actually less expensive than your average high-end helmet. Only this one is signed by Valentino Rossi!
Oh yeah… The visor (face shield) has delaminated in certain areas. Again, just due to age and exposure to sunlight and will happen to any tinted visor over the course of several years, It’s a standard visor/shield you could get another one for a few bucks if it bothers you. No big deal.
Heck, at this price, you could stick this on your head and use it for daily driver duties. Plus it is the coolest design Aldo Drudi ever came up with.
Photos are part of the description and I have endeavored to make the minor imperfections look as bad as possible, so that you should be pleasantly surprised when you receive your incredible momento of one of the greatest motorcycle racers of all time.
Just to be clear, the helmet is not dedicated to me. It does not have any name on it other than V. Rossi.
And good luck getting Valentino’s John Hancock on another lid for less than this, since his retirement.
The original box - which is somewhat crumpled - has “Signed by Vale!” handwritten on it (presumably, so that someone at AGV didn’t give away such a valuable item to the wrong person). So in a way, it was signed for whomever owns it next.
Give me a shout if you got any questions or require any further proof of my integrity. If I had to, I reckon I could get a AGV Italia to confirm it’s authenticity. Although that would certainly take a while 😉.
