Original Span-Am War Era US Army Officer's Private Purchase Tan Sun or Pith Helmet - Very NICE Condition - RARE Up for sale is an Original Span-Am War Era US Army Officer's Private Purchase Tan Sun or Pith Helmet. The  helmet has the tan cotton canvas outer covering.  It has Vent Holes on the sides of the helmet.  There are no rips or tears in the outer covering, see photos.  Some very minor soiling on the outer covering.  It does have the leather chin strap.  No dings or dents on the top of the helmet, see photos.  The green interior lining has some wrinkling and a minor surface cracking, see photos.  Still has the original leather sweat band, no rips or tears, see photos.  It has no manufacturer markings or dates.  It is estimated to be a size 7.  Please see photos for condition.  It is RARE to find a Private Purchase Sun Helmet from this time period in this condition.  This is an extremely well made helmet.
