Texas Tech Red Raiders Authentic Schutt AiR XP Black Football Helmet

This is a full-size, New-in-the-Box Authentic Texas Tech Red Raiders Schutt XP Helmet. It features the streamlined AiR XP helmet shell with a black polyvinyl-coated steel facemask, a complete, authentic interior TPU cushioning set complete with TPU jaw pads, ION hard cup 4-point chin strap and official Texas Tech helmet decals. It also features the highly-sought glossy black finish with faint sparkles, which makes it look like a moonless night sky over the Texas prairie when looked at closely. Schutt stopped making college helmets for public sale in Feb., 2022 due to an unreliable supply chain for parts and materials caused by the Covid pandemic. This helmet is our only Schutt Texas Tech helmet left (only Riddell is making college helmets for public sale now) and is in Mint condition. Like all Schutt (and Riddell) college helmets made for public sale, it has a "no-wear" device inside which prevents the helmet from being worn. This device (in this case, a thin metal strip spanning the inside of the helmet) is a requirement for NCAA helmet licensing in order to avoid insurance/liability issues.
