Restored WW2 Hungarian M38 Helmet W/ Repro Liner Sz 66 Shell. This was a Finn contract helmet that stripped, repainted in a wartime khaki green, and has a high quality Czech made M38 helmet liner and chinstrap installed. It even has the correct brass split pins. The Finns had drilled two more holes in the helmet to install their type of liner, but these holes were filled in and painted over. The DR stamp in the helmet indicates the helmet was made by Magyar Waggon és Gépgyár in Győr. This was a stamp specific to helmets produced for the Finnish Army during the continuation war. The 66 indicates this is a 66 shell which should fit roughly up to a 58/59cm head. You may have to remove the small pads inside the helmet liner to adjust the sizing of the helmet to your head. The shell is in good condition, no significant dents and no cracks. The liner and chinstrap set is brand new, never used. This is a perfect helmet for WW2 Hungarian living history or display.
