VERY RARE WWII German Death Card, Pictured in Early Dress Uniform, Wearing Sharpshooter's Braid, and M35 Steel Helmet w/Wehrmacht Decal DESCRIPTION: Original WWII German Death card, pictured wearing early dress uniform, SHARPSHOOTER'S BRAID, AND M35 STEEL HELMET WITH GREAT WEHRMACHT DECAL. Specifically, "Josef Lattner, baker in civilian life, Unterofficer in a Grenedier regiment, holder of various medals and awards, who was heroically KIA on Aug. 25, 1943, AGED 30, near Brjansk. He rests in the hero's cemetary at Shukowka.". VERY nice, VERY RARE photo in army dress uniform and wearing M35 steel helmet. A REALLY NICE SIDE PROFILE, CLEARLY SHOWING THE WEHRMACHT DECAL. It is clear to me that he made this pose INTENTIONALLY to show off the decal, which he obviously was proud of. RARELY FOUND. Card is in excellent condition. This puts a name and face to a soldier who would otherwise be only a forgotten statistic.
