Rare Sci-Fi Science Fiction Movie Prop Long Motorcycle Helmet

I acquired a collection of items from a movie prop collector & dealer that had items in a storage locker that went to auction. The person was working on a Hollywood movie museum and was acquiring various props, both genuine and replica, to display in the museum. This item has always been a bit of a mystery. I cannot find what movie it is from or what it was meant for. I'm aware this doesn't match the Tron or Terminator movies, I'm using those as keywords to see if anyone has any ideas. The movie collector specialized in Sci-Fi, including Terminator & Alien. The helmet has some chips and wear, but overall looks good. It looks like they took a normal motorcycle helmet size large and just extended it.
