The original Laws engineered sculpts along with castings of an actual screen used faceplate and APH-6B pilot helmet are the pinnacle of prop replica offerings for many collectors. Only the highest grade virgin black .060 inch ABS plastic is used for the thermoforming process on our industrial forming machine. The helmets are trimmed out to exacting standards then assembled using the same brass fasteners as the original movie prop. Each HERO or BACKGROUND helmet is finished with hand painted details just like the originals in “Star Wars, A New Hope”. The “Imperial Cog” decals are re-drawn matches to a TIE PILOT helmet that was on display at Comic-Con 2015 and printed to replicate the original process. The bubble lenses are the correct shade, thickness and shape as the screen used props. Metal replica “JA Mitchell turntable pulley” disks have been attached to each of the ears. An exact casting of an original “Pill box” has been painted and affixed to the Mohawk rear. All rubber trim is exactly the same as used in 1976 and imported from the UK. Helmet will include star foam liner (pattern from original helmet) and elastic chin straps with snaps. ALL this comes in YOUR own fleece lined helmet bag with zipper and carrying straps, safely protected.
