The Edo period of Japan was from 1603 A.D. to 1868 A.D.  This genuine jingasa has a Samurai clan mon. This jingasa measures 16 5/8" in diameter (42.2 cm). Condition : This antique Japanese Samurai hat has the expected occasional lacquer chips.  The cloth chin strap in intact.
