This 2 piece buckle has a brass backing and a nickel centre piece.  The centre piece is soldered on to the backing plate.  The buckle would accommodate a typical German 42-44mm wide leather belt. It has a nice antiqued finish and would clean up beautifully to a very attractive bi-metal finish.
