Fox Racing Youth V1 Revn Helmet The Fox Racing V1 Helmet is a lightweight, race-ready helmet with an ultra-precise fit achieved through 6 unique shell sizes. This unprecedented attention to detail is matched further by each size receiving its own, uniquely-sized impact-absorbing EPS layer. The MIPSIn a helmet with MIPS Brain Protection System, the shell and the liner are separated by a low-friction layer. When a helmet with MIPS is subjected to an angled impact, the low friction layer allows the helmet to slide relative to the head. Conventional helmets are tested by dropping them vertically onto a flat surface. MIPS is designed to deal with how most accidents occur, with angled impacts to the head. The secret behind MIPS’ unique, patented technology comes from the human brain. The brain is surrounded by a low-friction cushion of cerebrospinal fluid that protects it by allowing it to slide slightly on impact. MIPS imitates the brain’s way of protecting itself by giving the helmet its own low-friction layer between the outer shell and the liner, which also slides to absorb much of the energy created by an angled blow to the head. slip liner mitigates rotational forces - common in off-road riding - to help the helmet meet both DOT and ECE certifications. A series of intake and exhaust vents keep the rider cool, and washable internal liners and cheek pads keep the helmet fresh. The V1 Helmet features a patented Magnetic Visor Release System for the sun peak which protects the peak from damage and, more importantly, reduces any wrenching forces from transferring to the rider's neck in the event of a tumble.
