Up for the auction is very old 1920's very unusual unique all brown leather rare top spoke pattern thick clean leather vintage football helmet.
This particular UNUSUAL front exterior brown leather cross strap antique helmet is rare and very tough to find (the entire helmet is intact and complete and in nice shape considering its age (90 plus years old, see all close up photos - very cool antique football helmet!), foam stand included with the circa antique beaut as well (see several photos), this is a great looking helmet (unusual exterior leather skull top has the unusual connectors and style) - has seen little to few gridiron battles.
The leather has held up strong over the many years and has many ventilation holes through out the exterior thick leather panels; stitching tight and complete and all there! The thick leather interior lining is intact and this old beaut has its original cloth interior cloth skull liner and the 8 spoke canvas strapping with middle leather round harness in the inside of the helmet, very fine stitching throughout). Up for sale is an old antique football helmet scarce and dates to the early to mid 20’s. The old circa vintage football ball helmet is a very scarce. This awesome looking and RARE leather football helmet will look amazingly sweet displayed in your sports room, office, den or family room - wow!! Adult size vintage DOG ear helmet (measures to size 7 and fits on the foam mannequin head - small number 7 also stamped into the interior white leather round harness . The exterior leather cross straps ARE TIGHTLY stitched and complete with a factory ventilation hole punched into the crossing top - each top panel has ventilation holes throughout.
