19th Century Napoleonic (or Later) FRENCH Cuirassier / Dragoon

Description At offer is a beautiful Original Napoleonic, or perhaps later, Cuirassier or Dragoon Officer's Helmet.  It is mounted with steel and ornate brass including a Brass Repousse Medusa, Dyed Red Horsehair Tail, Red Hair Topknot, and Red Plume mounted in a holder on the left side.  It has a good bit of the original leather liner remaining as well as the brass linked chin strap.  It has light rust from sitting in a collection for decades and needs to be cleaned.  I also have a 19th Century Brass Fireman's Helmet from the same Estate listed in my Ebay Store.  A fellow Ebay has furnished additional information that in his opinion this helmet is an 1840 Model Cuirsassier Trumpeter's helmet.
